The same question every year, so here it is in black and white: this is what we need from you for a standard income tax return. Not everything applies to you. Just send in what does.
- Annual income statements (jaaropgaven) for you, if you're employed alongside your business, and for your tax partner
- Provisional assessments (voorlopige aanslagen) or refunds received during the year
- Your own home: the WOZ from the municipality and the annual mortgage statement
- Balances of bank and savings accounts, investments and crypto as of 1 January, including those of your children under 18
- Annuity premiums paid (lijfrentepremies) and premiums for your occupational disability insurance
- Healthcare costs that weren't reimbursed (not your monthly health insurance premium)
- Donations to charities, including each charity's ANBI number
- Partner alimony received or paid
- Details of your tax partner and children (names and dates of birth), if we don't have them yet
- (BV) Dividend payments and loans from your own BV
Not sure whether something is relevant? Just send it along or ask. Better one document too many than one too few.
Handy tip: grab last year's return and, for everything that was declared then, look up this year's documents. In many cases that covers almost the entire return.
